Without starting another food thread, and with the mentioning of German cockroaches leads me to ask if there are any local places that serve German food?

I’m always looking for a good bratwurst with sauerkraut or reuben sandwich.
I’ve never been to Zuhause, but it mostly looks like pastries. I can’t get their menu to open. Anyone ever been?

Are there any hole in the wall joints around Roberts Cove?

I've been inside Zuhause (for pastries) and they have soups and other foods but I didn't notice and couldn't tell you if any of them were German.

    ps My grandmother could have.

Not sure why menu doesn't open for you. Just looked but I don't see anything on the menu that looks like what you are looking for.

I think the closest you will get around here will be some Weihenstaphaner hefe!
Cove Germans eat crawfish, not schnitzel.

Smoothies are good, too, - apparently, owners are Cajun fans.

Cafe Sydnie Mae in Breaux Bridge is a great place. We love going there when we come to town

We will do some of normal things like farmers market and boudin and sausage shopping around town. Also I owe my wife a trip to Revival Antiques in Scott since she was at home for months while the kids homeschooled and apparently when kids go off to college they get more difficult when they are home.

What I need to know is who all might have inside seating and where might be a couple of good dinners while we are in town. Downtown would be great since it would be walking.

We are also probably catch a band at RocknBowl one night so hopefully a good one is playing.
Let us know where you went and how it was.

I don’t think I’ve met anyone who ever went to Lafonda for the food. It’s Mexican-ish, right?
