I think I will pass.
Usually always have Buffalo Trace on hand for cocktails. Eagle Rare and Basil Hayden’s for sipping. Eagle Rare is really good at its price point.
Been drinking more rum lately and picked up a bottle of Plantation from Marcello’s. Rum seems to be a lot easier on the wallet, even the top shelf stuff.
I 2nd the recommendation. Longbranch is some of the finest Wild Turkey that I have tasted. 101 will aways be my favorite bourbon of all time.
For those who go to NuNu's, ask them if they have any NuNu's specials. Around Christmas they had a NuNu's special from Buffalo Trace. I went a couple weeks ago and they had some Bayou Rum Special (selected by NuNu's).
Dont know how often they do it but they will visit various distilleries and select a barrel to be bottled and only sold at their store.
As much as I love Blanton's, I would never pay more than $70 for a bottle.
Flor De Cana has a plant outside of Tegucigapa in Honduras, I used to go there and buy by the case for $48 per case and you never knew what you would get. Sometimes they gave you light, sometimes dark and every once in a while you would get an older vintage but never a 25
If you can find it Heavens Door is some tasty stuff
Is it made here in LA?
It better be good for that price.
Has anyone here tried “TX” whiskey? From Firestone & Robertson Distilling. Wife picked it up for me today at a place in LC. Popped it open today and was pleasantly surprised. Sweet smell and undertones. Not bad for the price.
