Y'know, elsewhere in a discussion about the prez of Ohio State, I quoted Tywin Lannister from GOT, "And any man who must say 'I am king' is no true king at all."

As I think about it, this is similar. Imagine, say, someone asked Maggard or Savoie about the Southland merging with the SBC. They would be polite, and say something like, "We would certainly be willing to talk to any Southland school that wished to join the SBC, but obviously a merger would create some difficulties that might be hard to resolve."

They would never shoot their mouths off like this guy does. A school with self-confidence never acts like this.

Dr. Eric Wood, he is a guy from the Bronx, NY that was at UCF before La Tech. He also had positions at Arkansas, Wake Forest and University of New Haven.

GA Southern spanked La Tech. How could a CUSA team lose to a Sunbelt school? Ha. Sunbelt has progressed tremendously. CUSA has sank to the bottom of the conference pool.

However, I'm still peaved at the Sunbelt for allowing CC to cancel the Sunbelt Championship game. I hope that doesn't set back the Sunbelt 15 years.

2016 to now, sbc and mwc are tied with 16 bowl wins, but sbc has four less losses. WP of .695 to .592 and are only two g5 over .500.

CUSa has most berths and tied most losses at 15-19
