Old news might be something others didn’t see.
Wow. It isnt on the official bowl lineup yet. Oh well...That is garbage. Looking forward to la tech knowing they have the lowest nola bowl attendance EVAH
I didn’t see it in the bowl lineup
Had to go to the actual
Website to see it.
Their coach already said he doesn’t want to play us.
Look. For all those saying CC us ducking us, I get it. I don’t think it’s their intention, but it certainly works out well for them and not at all for us.
However, if you think going to a bowl and playing Marshall or UAB is better then actually playing a conference championship? You’re smoking something or you’re scared. If we are given the option but still don’t play because coastal refuses, I lose all respect for your program.
Most likely Camellia Bowl on Christmas Day against a MAC powerhouse (sarcasm on).
I think a better option would be to look at the bowls whose conference tie-ins have opted out (ACC, PAC 12, etc.) to see if we can fill in the slot against a better opponent and payout. But it's safe to say that this commissioner will not do that.
Let’s create our own bowl game, have it in Lafayette, 25% occupancy and invite a P5 or a good G5. It’s 2020. Why not? Not like anyone will go to these out of state bowl games with Covid. It’s like adding another game. Create our own matchup.
Houston, SMU, TCU. All within Driving distance. Auburn is 6-4 make some calls..
If Cincy wins and bowl tie ins “tie” everyone’s hands, I’d love to see the cure or Camilla bowl work their magic and arrange a UL-Cc matchup. In fact, it would draw a hell of a lot more buzz than a UL-Ball State and Cc-Marshall bowl game.
But.....part of me wants that offer to happen and Cc turn it down. Make the news. That’s the makings of hatred and then a rivalry. Then we get another game to watch and cheer like hell against someone else.
Cc wants a game to expand their “brand?” Then play the biggest sunbelt matchup in history. That expands both team’s brand 10x more than any boring Covid era bowl game.
Sort of like this game

Cbs just posted an update. They have cajuns to annapolis to face tulsa. Kind of ironic, but pretty good opportunity bc gives them a few extra days
Also since it is a relatively small stadium compared to most bowls it wont seem as desolate with a reduced capacity
Downside not a heck of a lot of affordable hotel options in annapolis
