Basketball players don’t report for “voluntary” workouts until July 1. Just like football (where players come in on Monday), all scholarship players are expected to be here at that time. Of course a personal situation may cause someone to get here later but I don’t know who that might be. Anyway, I wonder if the later reporting date is a factor in any delay of a Gordon signing announcement.

Thanks for update. You are correct in that this now opens a scholarship for Gordon. Lowery is also no longer on the team roster. Gordon is not as of yet but that is probably because they had to wait for a spot to open before he could sign.

Interesting in that is also the date when our Basketball players Report for voluntary workouts. No idea if that is the end of the roster turnover.

Lowery was just removed from the roster in the past few hours because he was still on it when I posted this morning. After the news on Gordon we knew one more roster move was inevitable. I would have liked to have seen how Lowery developed but there was much more depth on the roster at guard than forward, especially if Butts is ruled eligible next year.

You can expect a 30% roster turnover almost every year. Not counting graduation.
