You're right. Really surprised. The media normally does not announce it until it is "official". I guess they're getting tired of being scooped on sites like this. Usually, by the time they report it, it's old news. Probably getting tired of looking like they're not doing their job and are lazy. This ain't 1985 where the major source of local sports news was the six o'clock and ten o'clock sports casts. Those four minute segments, if that long, are going the way of the dinosaur.
