your roster limit is 35. They are allowing more for 2021 because of the seniors getting their year back.

But if I know Deggs, we'll be at 35. Even with the seniors coming back. Now, there are just four of them and less if Young leaves for pro ball.

Of the 35 on your roster, 27 of them have to be on at least 25% scholarship. Other than that you can sign as many as you want as long as you are at 35 when the season starts.

Toro, in fact, did get his degree yesterday. As did Bourgeois and Austin Bradford and Tremaine Spears.

I’m not saying one way or the other, because I don’t know for sure what Toro’s situation was. People talk.

It is a bit concerning to me that a guy like Toro would forego his last opportunity to play organized baseball that easily. Whether he transfers or quits, we’ll see.

Guy was productive, alpha and a team leader. Overcame a pretty major injury to get back and be someone we came to depend on. Offensively, defensively and in a leadership role.

Closest thing we’ve had to a true grinder type player (that was becoming an impact player) probably since BT. (Not comparing players, just mentality)

    He does have his degree.

Interesting that He and Spears have graduated and are in the portal. Bourgeois is done. Don't know about Bradford. That leaves just Breaux among the seniors if I remember correctly. He's working on his Masters.

He was one of the best throwing out runners we've had in a while.

Some are just ready to move on with life. He has his degree in hand.

Yep. We were talking about this just the other day, how tough a decision it must be be for these young people. Some will just decide to move on with it. But losing this guy hurts....he was a good one.
