I’m not saying one way or the other, because I don’t know for sure what Toro’s situation was. People talk.
It is a bit concerning to me that a guy like Toro would forego his last opportunity to play organized baseball that easily. Whether he transfers or quits, we’ll see.
Guy was productive, alpha and a team leader. Overcame a pretty major injury to get back and be someone we came to depend on. Offensively, defensively and in a leadership role.
Closest thing we’ve had to a true grinder type player (that was becoming an impact player) probably since BT. (Not comparing players, just mentality)
He does have his degree.
Interesting that He and Spears have graduated and are in the portal. Bourgeois is done. Don't know about Bradford. That leaves just Breaux among the seniors if I remember correctly. He's working on his Masters.
He was one of the best throwing out runners we've had in a while.

SOURCES: As expected, the one-time transfer waiver was not approved by the @NCAA D1 Council today. That means it will not be voted on again until legislation is drawn up and submitted for a vote in January 2021. This was expected.

Now, we will see how strict the NCAA is with waiver requests this summer. With the legislation very much expected to pass in January, NCAA could have a very liberal approach to waiver requests in college baseball. We’ll see. https://t.co/Oi0gvm3IYp
