Garrett Hartley made an appearance in Lafayette eight days after the Super bowl at Academy Sports. At the time, Academy paid him to come. They say it was a way to thank their fans for their business. This time Buffalo Wild Wings is not paying him. So, the NFL player is charging $20 dollars. That price guarantees fans an autograph and a picture. Hartley's agent says all of the proceeds will go directly to him.
Saints fan, Peggy Borque thinks that's ridiculous. "He's out of his mind. He's really out of his mind." Benjamin Bell agrees. "Maybe if he was giving it to charity that would be different but since he isn't I don't think that's right."
Other Saints fans like Vyrona Wiltz disagree. She bought six tickets for her nieces and nephews. "I willingly paid 20 dollars because I think the saints deserve it," said Wiltz.
You can still get his autograph without paying, but you just take a chance because he stops signing at 8:00 pm tonight.
