Local schools have taken part in the annual bead drive to benefit LARC of Acadiana.

Fourth and fifth grade 4-H students of Live Oak Elementary recently held a Mardi Gras Bead drive for LARC. Coordinator of the club, Ms. Allison Canter, said the students were excited to recycle the beads and could not wait to donate them. Next year they will include the entire school.
