    Default OT: XFL

Oliver luck was commish, brings lawsuit for unlawful termination.....
    A. What am i missing, why would a folded league still need a commish
    B. Would league not folding be his responsibility
    C. How are court cases like this deemed essential in these trying times
    D. Not exactly the most pressing problem one could imagine at these times.... Seems kind of disrespectful to argue about millions while so many others are broke....not like his son couldnt loan him some dough
    E. Hopefully this doesnt sound political

He signed a contract for 3 years 25 mill and trying to get his money

The league was exceeding goals Vince had set

Vince pulled the plug to save WWE so that may come into play

interesting. how so? were same staff working on both “leagues”...or did he cyphen cash?

not sure how him getting let go is different than the other 22 million who filed unemployment

still seems odd to risk covid to waltz folks into a courtroom over this at this moment

probably the real answer is political, but i will try to go down the other avenues first

XFL filed bankruptcy so you can still go after the owner of the company if you are due money chances are not great but its still an option

fair enough. so just a formality? an employee vs creditors. not Luck vs Vince as media tried to portray it?

What I have read, is that Luck received a letter from XFL and/or McMahon that he was being fired with cause.

My guess is that in the contract he signed, one of the few 'outs' in the contract was for cause. Luck is also a lawyer, extremely highly thought of and walked away from a high profile, well-paying job. My expectation is that he covered his butt pretty well with this contract.

true. sounds like his future salary should be treated more like a buyout.....although one could argue who is more at fault of an organization going bankrupt than the commish?.....but i fail to see how it is a personal beef between him and vince.
