#51 ranked JUCO player in the nation.
Here are some highlights from Au's high school days:

Au averaged 28.7 points, 9.8 rebounds, 7.4 steals and 5.4 steals per game in his two years playing for Anthony High School near El Paso, leading his team to the state regionals twice. He also averaged 32.1 points, 10.1 rebounds, 6.9 assists and 5.9 steals per game for his AAU Southwest Assault team. As a junior Au received All State Honors, had the highest scoring average among all high school players in Texas, and was ranked the #22 player in the state of Texas by Alamo City Hoops. Before signing with Ranger he drew recruiting interest from UTEP, New Mexico State and Texas A&M Corpus Christi.
I looked at more information about Au including how his JUCO team did. His first year they were 31 and 4 while they were 28 and 3 this past season. That encourages me as much as anything as he is used to winning. I looked at box scores of a few of his games. Seems to be a versatile player as some games he had points in the teens or 20’s. In games he did not score as much he either had a high number of assists or rebounds. Although he played HS ball in El Paso, it appears he is originally from Mexico. Would not be surprised if this guy starts when season begins. The three guys coming off knee injuries may have something to say about that of course. However their injuries do make their ability to contribute a question mark going into next season while Au is healthy as far as we know.
