There has always been an end to the bench. Go back and look at rosters under Fletcher, Evans, Lee. You'll see a slew of players who started here but didn't finish here. The possible exception is Fletcher, who kept players like Ashley Landers and Russ Harris even though they never played.
I get that, but you don't know the reasons for why players are leaving other programs as well. Because we are fans of the Cajuns we know A LOT more of what goes on in the program.
My assumption, and it may be wrong, is that the vast number of players are leaving because they are unhappy with playing time. I don't consider that being forced out, but I am guess some could interpret it that way.
I want to correct something I said earlier in this thread. The dead period which goes through May 31 does not prevent people from signing with schools. That was allowed as of yesterday. In fact, as seen in another thread, the women's program announced two signings yesterday. Coach Brodhead was on with Steve earlier today and said that wraps up that class. In regards to the men, I would not be surprised to see something announced within a few days. The dead period which goes through May 31 does prohibit direct contact with recruits and campus visits.
GAST will be a force next year they got a huge shot in the arm with transfers and signed 2 very talented HS guys .. their new coach can certainly recruit
