why did they go to co-hosts and shorter shows in the first place? i never really liked that, seems the writing already was on wall they were spending too much if you do simple math regarding number of hosts/co hosts and number of hours of air time

If I remember correctly, it's up to LearField IMG who the voice of the Cajuns is

At least 2 other large radio ownership groups are in the same shape, iheart and Cumulus. Cumulus just went through a furloughing purge...they own KSMB. When the virus hit the fan, iheart lost in excess of 40 million in revenue.

Remember, Town Square, locally, had Patty in the Parc scheduled. They had to cancel it. That alone cost them $200,000. Plus, they probably lost close to that in March and April from people who have canceled their radio buys.

The future of sports broadcasting may be self production and on line. With XM, Pandora, etc, local radio may be dying. Remember, AM radio was dying before, like him or not, Limbaugh came along.

COVID-19 simply pushed them over the cliff, along with a ___ ton of retail and restaurant businesses/real estate.

I am not holding my breath for any type of rebound of live sports with fans in the stands until a proven vaccine is widely available......in 18 months. If you've seen anyone go though C-19, you won't take any chances.

Neighbor had it but did not tell anyone until it ran its course. Caught it very early, and it still was rugged.

Thanks, thought so, but they still broadcast on 1420am. So there may be a conflict of some kind.

No. They must be approved by the University.
