If I remember correctly, Glasco said he'd like to have everything finalized by the end of the semester.
I'm thinking that unless you are on a track to moving on to an advanced specialized degree (medical school, law school, etc.) why would you want to go out into the job market in the next 12 months when you can stay and play?
I would venture to say the girls who haven’t made an announcement yet are waiting to see what the school can offer them in athletic money. Remember, the school doesn’t have to provide them with the same amount of athletic money that they previously received. Any difference would need to be made through academic scholarships, student loans, or money from their parents. I’m sure that plays a factor in deciding whether to return for the additional year or not.
Also, would the incoming freshmen have anything to do with a senior returning? Just throwing this out there, but what if the incoming freshman is a super stud and would get more playing time than the outgoing senior? Just curious? And I hope Morgan Gray comes back also. She was a studette.
Heard today that Kleist is definitely not coming back. Didn't get a chance to hear what other pitching prospects we have either in house or coming in that can help fill the void. We all know having one studette is great and can get you to the regional's, and possibly even the world series, but with out two studettes, your chance of winning it all is less than 5%.
So if anyone knows about our pitching prospects, please tell.
