Good for him... he just hasn’t developed at this level and he should be solid at a smaller school. Good height and I was hoping he was going to be a beast but there are stark differences between him and Guye when comes to athleticism.

Yeah, if Smith and Gueye return, Lafayette's minutes would be significantly reduced. I think he see's the writing on the wall that he would be the 3rd option based on what is coming back as a "big man" that and Gueye and Smith are much more physical than he is. I think Kristian can be a pretty good player somewhere, just not here. Good luck to him in the transfer portal.

I am disappointed by this news. I understand his current limitations but thought that he should have played more when we had Gant. Giving him 10 minutes as a freshman would have allowed Gant to move out of the box more. He always showed energy and an ability to interrupt. I hate to say it but he was not properly used on a team that needed a big man desperately. He could easily have been coached into be a good backup rather than a giant bench warmer. All of the sudden I'm humming Toby Keith's "Beers Ago" song as the number of departures just keeps climbing.

First thing I thought when I saw this was that Smith may have been given the all clear to return next year following his suspension. I know they are continuing to recruit and according to Verbal Commits the offer is still out there to the New Mexico Juco guy that has about 20 offers. As of now with Michael Thomas already signed to take Hardy’s scholarship someone else had to go if someone new was coming in.

First thing I thought when I saw this was that Smith may have been given the all clear to return next year following his suspension. I know they are continuing to recruit and according to Verbal Commits the offer is still out there to the New Mexico Juco guy that has about 20 offers. As of now with Michael Thomas already signed to take Hardy’s scholarship someone else had to go if someone new was coming in.

I would have liked to see better defense and rebounding from Lafayette but I liked what he offered in way of stretching the court with his shooting. He never really developed here. Wish the staff could have worked on him a little more.

I thought he played out of position, and should have been a stretch 4. He wasn't physical enough to fight guys in the paint, but he could have been a solid weak side rebounder. In addition, he was a better than average three point shooter which we could have used in our rotations with limited outside shooting.
