I made an error...there will be only 2 PRIVATE health care systems in Louisiana. Charity will still exist.
The issue is underserved populations. That’s is why ULM is a landlord. And I can promise you LSU Med School was in in those discussions. Saw first hand they were here when UL was approached to be a landlord. Happen to walk up on group as they were gathering.
I’m going to say they do a great job for me. I’ve got zero problems with communication since 2013. Works differently than independent doctors, but works. My wife and I have had tens of hundreds of issues communication due to health issues not necessarily associated with aging.
Billing? Yeah that’s a bit complicated, but they’ve always worked with me period.
I can’t speak to your particular issues but I’ve never been happier than being with Ochsners, and granted I was fortunate enough to not have needed more than a flu vaccine for decades.
This article appeared in The Advocate. Does a nice job of explaing VCOM, why it's attached to ULM, and other questions. BTW, 71 is a grad of the Spartanburg, SC school... https://www.theadvocate.com/acadiana...d5d28d3a4.html
