Anyone know these girls personally or family members and can share any info on their thoughts on returning?
Info on other seniors?

Premature.
The vote hasn't even been held yet. Moot point if it's decided they don't get the year.
The question is “would they even want” the year?
Good question. They are both fifth-year seniors. If it happens, and they get a chance to come back, it would be their sixth year. Kleist is a long way from home and wants to go to med school. Ellyson is getting married in November. I think it all depends on how they prioritize their life. Whatever happens, I wish the best to both of them.
I can't believe they'd be OK having their softball careers end the way it did.
Medical school will still be there after next year and being married shouldn't change anything.
If those girls are as competitive as I think they are, and are granted another year, they will play.
I think there's a good chance both won't come back, even if they can. Those are huge lifetime events and will have a strong bearing on their decision.
Now, if they were both super happy with how the season was going and there's enough of the other seniors coming back to make a serious run at the national championship....then there's a chance.
Maybe those with more first hand knowledge will opine on this situation, cuz I don't.
Probably depends if we have more seniors than other top ten teams or not.... If not, then more likely to pass but kind of cancels out
Life moves on. This was to be our chance to make real noise but things happen. But both these young ladies have a future beyond sports and would not fault either for moving on.
Agreed, but I want them to have options. Summer could of course expand her education. Heist is already set to start her medical education.
Again I’m sure everyone wants them to do whatever they want.
I could see Summer coming back, Kleist is gone. 12 semesters of college while stareing down a 4 year grind of med school and then another 3 to 5 years of residency is a lot to ask...She should get on with her life...
