I want to say the loss was to Assumption.

That’s a fair point but he had to establish that prowess somehow. I’m willing to bet it was during a period of his early career that they were giving up his long 2???

While Bo was sinking long 2’s, the image I most clearly recall is hightailing it for an easy layup.

A lot of recency bias in the setting up of that bracket. Trey Young, Zion Williamson and any one and done types just don't have the body of work to compete with 3 or 4 year careers.

We all know what some don't know. That guy could shoot the rock.

From the time he got past half court he was looking for a shot. I remember a number of shots from the old coaching box line that they used to put along the sideline past half court.

Back then there was no internet and few TV games that he would have been seen in. Besides, most of those who participated in putting together that list may not have been born when he played.

    Louisiana beat Assumption 110-99.
We then lost to eventual champion, Evansville, 93-74.
We then beat Kentucky Wesleyan 105-83 to finish 3rd in the nation.
Bo Lamar was named to the all tournament team.
The national finals were played in Evansville, Indiana.

Totally agree. Supposed to be greatest college players. How could one and done players be considered over players that were great for multiple years such as Bo. What you did or projected to do at the next level should not be considered.

When Bo was past the half court line he was in his range. Jerry Bisbano was a perfect backcourt mate for Bo meaning he passed the ball to Bo so he could shoot. Heard somebody say that but don't remember who.
