Larry Caillier II, son of former Opelousas Police Chief Larry Caillier, was indicted for production and possession of child pornography and attempt to coerce a minor to engage in criminal sexual acts, acting U.S. Attorney William J. Flanagan announced Wednesday. Caillier, 32, a former Opelousas High teacher who once served as an Opelousas city alderman, has been ordered detained pending trial after his arrest on Feb. 26. He is scheduled for a March 16 initial appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Patrick J. Hanna.
