Another player that is proving he can hit Junior College Div II pitching.
The title suggests that he’s gonna come here. That’s speculation, and we’ve gotta re-recruit anyone who went to juco. Or am I reading too much into the title.
The reason I say such things is that I’m really only interested in UL players and UL players in their post UL days.
Yeah you missed the point on this one. This guy is probably Deggs’ most controversial cut. It makes sense that people are gonna follow the kid. Especially when we’ve got a DH hitting barely above .100 who is listed as a Utility player but really can’t play any position. If the JUCO bats pick up, this will slack off somewhat.
Any chance this kid comes back to UL?

We have lots of kids on our roster right now that hit Juco pitching pretty darn well last year. Not sure this really means anything other than nice to see a local kid doing well where he has landed. Hope he continues to do well at LSUE and ends up back here as a star after finishing there.
i could go on a rant but ill stop here.
I saw the kid play in high school and some during fall ball at UL. Very plus glove up there with current infielders now playing. Trust me when I tell you this kid can hit high school, ju co, and D1 pitching better than Connor Dupuy will ever dream of doing. If he were here you wouldn’t have to switch out your 2nd and 3rd baseman according to lefty or righty at the plate and you would gain offense.
I’ll be curious to see what he does. The kid had offers from all over the country. In the end it came down to Ms. State or Cajuns. He chose to stay loyal to the local school. His going to Ju Co was strictly a numbers thing at his position, and him being the only freshman in the mix, not performance in the fall at all.
Im not questioning your judgment on this kid and im not here to drag either of the two kids you mention in your post thru the mud. We dont switch positions when Dupuy is on the field with Windham. We switch when someone other than Dupuy is in the game. Its no secret Dupuy is light at the plate. But the head scratcher is why is he not here? 2 freshman were kept and one is starting to shape into a reliable bat as a freshman. The other has had moments, more of what id expect out of a true freshman gettng limited AB’s. He shows flashes but inconsistent up to this point. So did we just get rid of a kid that was gonna sit behind Cantrelle just because? Who is our back up SS? Who is next years SS? Thats really the question i have. Why isnt he here?
