I'll give you Calais in rounds 1-4 at +125 for up to a dime.

This right here...he had a great combine, is a dynamic returner, and teams won't pass on his sort of speed...

I am willing to make a wager on this. I do not see this happening as raymond isn't in the top 10 RBs in this class. Darynton Evans will go before him as he is slightly faster and is a bigger back. Evans is projected as a late round pick.

I would love to see him drafted but there is no way it will be that high

Whoever gets him past the 3rd round is getting a player steal, and cap friendly guy for a bunch of years Draft or free agency, he’s football fast. That’s something that doesn’t always transfer from the track star to the football star.

Is that a lead lock cinch? Maybe Vic wants some of those odds.

is this true that he is slightly built?? a former alledged friend of the cajuns, luke j, wrote this.....doesnt seem too pro cajuns.
have saints ever admitted they made wrong move regarding jake delhomme, there had to be more to that story........

“If the Saints are looking for speed, they can take a flier on the local product in Calais. Though he is slightly built, the Breaux Bridge native was a state champion in the 100- and 200-meter races in high school, and his explosive speed translated at Louisiana, where he averaged 7.8 yards per carry in his career.“

First, Luke is great at his job. Calais was measured at 5’8” 188 lbs at the combine and the current average size of nfl RB’s is just under 6’0 and 215 pounds. So 4 inches short and almost 30 pounds lighter than the average I’d say slightly built is a fair assessment. Doesn’t mean he cant be successful but he isn’t a very big guy.

thanks, but to me, short or small are different than build? 188 pounds if mostly lean muscle seems a strong build to me for that shorter height.... i am exact same height and weight, but would consider myself fat and slow and unfortunately not at all a slight build
sugar ray leonard was taller and weighed less for example, and i dont remember him being told he had a slight build?

bigger problem, is when will we break the code as to who is on the inside of the saints org that goes out of their way to not select cajuns. p.s. did they make right call on jake delhomme or not?

Kamara is 5’11” 215 lbs and people say he is of slight build. Calais is closer to sproles size than kamara. Doesn’t mean he won’t be successful. Out of their way to not select Cajuns? As opposed to all the other nfl teams that do? We need to start getting people drafted first
