A proclaimed betting man, how can he not take that? Failure to act on such a reasonable proposal will tremendously diminish his word.

wow. fair enough then. i doubt im am the only one who wouldnt walk up to either of those gentlemen outside of a bar and taunt them about their slight build, lol.

michael jordan is 6,6 and barely had five pounds on kamara.

You aren't a DL or LB in the NFL and Michael Jordan wasn’t an NFL RB.

sugar ray leonard was taller and weighed less for example, and i dont remember him being told he had a slight build?

bigger problem, is when will we break the code as to who is on the inside of the saints org that goes out of their way to not select cajuns. p.s. did they make right call on jake delhomme or not?
Ancient history...the folks who ran that draft for the Saints that year are long gone...

Guys, with Calais, it's his ST skill set and speed...hes plenty big and strong. As I don't recall his bench press rep # from combine, I do recall it was an eye opener...wasnt he 3rd among running backs?

He is plenty big enough, a lot guys smaller than him in the league. He is slightly built though for a RB. Just like saying Derek Henry is a big bruising back isn’t calling him fat..he is big. Calais was 165 coming out of high school, a lot of people had concerns with his size going into UL.

Question though; Did Calais play QB in high school? If so, could he become another Taysom Hill type, offensively wise?

    Just curious.

    Geaux Cajuns.
    free agent

On the current Saints roster, only 3 guys would weigh less than Calais: Deonte Harris, Emmanuel Sanders and Will Lutz.

Bottom line, 10 out of the 11 people that will try to tackle him are going to be bigger than him on defense or special teams. He is slight of build ... for the NFL.

It doesn't mean he cannot do it, I hope he does, but the odds are significantly against him.

I think most pro teams would envision him as a Darren Sproles (5'6" 190lbs) type of back. You're not going to run him up the middle 25-30 times a game. You'll use him on draws or slot position sweeps or a receiver out of the backfield. Where his size comes in is he able to limit direct contact with those larger players. There have been a number of them in the past who you never seemed to get a solid hit on this as they were able to make quick movements before contact to avoid them.

I think he could be used more like Percy Harvin

I get how he is envisioned, but Sproles was a 1st Team All American and he went in the 4th round. Percy Harvin was a 1st Team All American and primarily a WR.

Sproles had almost 5,000 rushing yards in college and almsot 4 times as many passes as Calais ... he was an absolute one man gang.

I love Calais, but he is no where near what Sproles was coming out of college. For that matter, he isn't nearly as good as Elijah McGuire. McGuire is/was a better runner and a much better pass catcher.
