Not for RPI, true. But they know and are known by conference foes. Playing great teams before conference shows where you stand against teams you’ll face in post season. Looking at teams in top ten, they are playing a lot of these games. Coach at UDub has them playing all their games so far away or at neutral sites. Zero home games so far. Not one. Talk about toughening up the team. At least I think this is point for them. For us it’s RPI and getting tough.
Weather is terrible in Washington typically right now
Just watched the replay of game 3. What a crazy 6th and 7th inning for the Cajuns. Florida didn’t know what hit them.
Y’all may recall that Nicholls I believe had an all world pitcher just as LSU was starting their program. Maybe it was USM. They did all right as long as she was in the circle and reasonably fresh.
I’m certainly glad that they’re propping up our loss as one to a top 50 team, maybe even better. But they’re still NTexas without a great history so it’s a long way off the curb.
North Texas is showing up in the polls and their ISR (Boyd Nations replacement calcs for the RPI) have them at 27th. It certainly looks like North Texas is going to prove to be a game well worth having played even though we lost.
As of now our SOS based on the ISR is #2 in the country. Our ISR rank is 5th. If we can keep up the pace we will have a very legitimate shot at hosting a super.
Mr. Express, if you are saying that NTexas has a log way to go to establish itself as a top notch, nationally recognized program, you are correct. However, if was are talking about THIS year, the club has certainly proven that, at least to date, it is very much a legitimate player on the national stage.
Yeah that’s why I brought up the all world pitcher for either USM , or Nicholls. They were very hard to defeat when she pitched. They were a handful and yet we beat them. Don’t forget South Alabama, and even Texas State for a short time.
I expected to beat all because of a history of success along the way. I’m not dissing NTexas because I think we shouldn’t lose to them. Glasco wasn’t very happy with that loss y’all may recall saying he needed to do a better job taking the loss on his shoulders alone.
I understand those who want to give them plenty of credit. They will be an asset to us as the season proceeds. I’m still never expecting to lose to THIS NTexas team.
