After a series-opening 2-0 win over Virginia Tech last Friday night, UL baseball coach Matt Deggs was encouraged.

"Yeah, we got dumped on our butts," he said, referring to the prior weekend, when UL lost to Southeastern Louisiana on Opening Night and dropped a pair to Louisiana Tech. "But they've responded and started playing a gritty brand of baseball."
