If you weren't at the game and you didn't get to watch it online and just listened to it, you have no idea how much influence the behind the plate ump had on the outcome of the game. He called 15 or 16 strikes for Oklahoma State that were almost in the other batter's box. After watching that for two innings, I knew there was no way they were going to be able to hit that pitch that far off of the plate. So, they either watched it go by and the ump called a strike or swumg and missed. It was one of those games that made you want to throw up. Oklahoma State is not that good. They lost to Ole Miss, who was 1 and 8, the game before. It's just really disgusting how much influence an ump can have on a game. It was all about him and not the players. Tomorrow, with a different ump behind the plate, I'm confident the Cajuns will win. So, if you're disappointed with their performance at the plate, no player on any team in America could have hit a pitch that far out of the strike zone. Rant over.
