Back to baseball......
This weekend showed a lot of concern at the plate, BUT we do have quite a few newbies who made their debut. So, it will be a work in progress. The question is not if, but WHEN will the bats start coming around. Hopefully, sooner than later; but we shall see. Also, more good news is that we have one of the best hitting coaches in America who's also our head guy as well. And we all know he's not taking this lightly. If there is anyone who can fix this, it's him. If you recall back in 2016, we swept a Matt Deggs coached Sam Houston team to open the 2016 season. They not only ended up in our regional that year, they also came up a few runs short of eliminating the eventual national runner-up (Arizona).
As far as pitching, I like what we have. Yesterday was just bad luck, especially when everything happened at one time. If pitching stays the course and hitting comes around, we will be fun to watch. Again, hopefully sooner than later.
