The first two games look exactly like the last 4 years. Above average pitching with below average hitting. And by below average I mean terrible. Puhhhh

Last year the biggest issue seemed to be our pitching. Hitting was adequate from what I remember without looking at stats. We hit .280 and I think had a staff era around 5.00

.....lIn HS we won the World Series in Am. legion baseball.....we were winning big time the next year and we dropped out because of a feud with the organization.....the next year was my first and there was talk of going back to the World Series......Coach Trower went ballistic when he heard this and shouted that " you've got to sh-t bricks before you can get there".......we made it but tough road through New Orleans Baton Rouge, Shreveport, Arkansas to Bismarck ND......we (Cajuns)are very far from such talk At this time for the CWS!

The former UL baseball player who has the radio show before Jay pretty much predicted the weekend on his show Friday. Said our pitching was going to be really good, that apparently our three guys starting this weekend (all newcomers) were studs.

But he questioned whether we could hit the ball enough to support their pitching efforts. Losses of 3-2 and 2-1 to start the season right now point to NO. I do think we’ll see some improvement throughout the season with Deggs teaching the hitting, but it’s likely to be a long process.

Exactly. Last year Cantrelle had a horrible start batting and ended on fire... The sooner this weekend is in the rear view mirror, our mental aspect should improve.
