We are in good position to make the tournament. We are one game ahead of Troy for last spot and we have beaten them twice so we get the tie breaker. Thankfully the guys are not making the 7 hour bus ride home following a loss. That would not have been fun.

For those who did not follow the Troy game much tonight, there is another point some may be interested in. That is Trajan Wesley made a contribution to the victory. His ball handling helped break the press at times and I thought he defended pretty well. Made a tough shot off the glass with the shot clock expiring to allow us to maintain control at one point in the second half. Having another guard to help spell Cedric Russell for a few minutes each half is a contribution in it's own right. Not a bad performance in only his second game back. Reason this is noteworthy to me is how much time he had to miss due to suffering that major concussion back in early January. We were not sure we would see him again this season that night he was taken off the court in a stretcher. Welcome back Trajan!

Any word on Smith and his thumping the floor? Guessing that will be evaluated tomorrow. Just typical for the season.

I think coach said he hurt his wrist or arm on the fall. Said he wanted to come back in the game but coach kept him out. Sounds like he will be ready for next Saturday's game at ULM.
