How close is Austin Perrin to being ready?
How good would this staff be with Perrin, Burke and Bradford fully available. Right now we have 8 pitchers with sub 2.00 ERA's, granted a couple of them have not pitched very much. We have another 2 guys with sub 4.00 ERA's.
That is not counting Jeff Wilson, Conner Cooke and Jacob Schultz, who are all better than their 4.15, 5. and 8.29 ERA's respectively.
Add those Perrin, Bradford and Burke to that mix and our staff could look really good. Our main starters:
Friday StarterConner Angel has a 1.50 ERA and opponents are batting .190 against him.
Saturday Starter Brandon Young has a 1.47 ERA and opponents are batting .180 against him.
Sunday Starter Will Moriarty has a 3.86 ERA and opponents are batting .296 against him.
Weekday Starter Carter Robinson has a 1.72 ERA and opponents are batting .218 against him.
Schultz had 7 starts last year finished with an ERA of 3.65 and opponents batted .239 against him.
Perrin had 10 starts last year finished with a 4.52 ERA and opponents batted .272 against him.
Burke had 7 starts last year finished with a 2.82 ERA and opponents batted .268 against him.
And we don't have any idea how good Bradford can be because he has only pitched 2.1 innings over 2 seasons and as of yet he has not had an earned run off of him.
When your extra starters/long relief guys have numbers like above that means your staff can be really good and we are going to need them to be until our bats get going. Last night was a great start, but we had 13 singles, no extra base hits. We have to start putting the ball in the gap. Right now we have a total of 83 basehits, of those 69 are singles, we have 1 triple and 1 homerun to go along with 12 doubles.
Thanks guys..
Full apologies if my salutations is wrong.. smiles
Some good stuff to pass on..

Ask coach if the Cox invitational games will be on tV
Happy for the win. Favorite sports cliche of mine has, for a longtime, and still is: "do it again "
Let's get over .500 this weekend

Get us an update on Austin Perrin
-Perrin Update.
-Was Connor Angel, for lack of a better term, punished this week? Hard to believe our opening night starter was relegated to midweek reliever just to build “confidence” or get his “groove” back.
-Was the plan all along to build Conor Cooke into a weekend starter, or is he just getting an opportunity because of extended relief innings?
-Health update on Breaux / Windy / Toro / Gavin
-Why hasn't Julian Brock been in the lineup as much?
-Whats been the key to Fitzgerald’s turnaround? Is the plan to put him back in rightfield?
-What’s the level of concern with Cantrelle at this point?
-How much has Talley surprised BJ on the mound, or is this what they expected?
-Coastal Scouting Report
The Angel thing as Jay mentioned is bc he has only been able to throw one pitch consistently for strikes which has gotten figured out earlier and earlier in his last 2 starts. He'll pitch this weekend as well per Deggs comments in press conference but I think he just needs to find his feel for his other pitches consistently. Yesterday was a good start because it was first time he didnt walk at least 2 batters (yes was shorter appearance but even last weekend he threw 2 innings and walked 3.)
Interested to hear Bab's comments on it though
