  1. UL Football Napier Announces Three Additional Signees in 2020 Recruiting Class



    For the second-straight season, Louisiana Football boasts the top-ranked recruiting class in the Sun Belt Conference after putting the final touches on its 2020 group on Wednesday morning.

    As it stands, the exciting class of signees is comprised of student-athletes from four different states, with ten coming from Louisiana. Seven positions are represented in the class, with an emphasis on the defensive backfield (5), wide receivers (4) and defensive line (4).

    On top of its No. 1 ranking amongst Sun Belt schools, Louisiana's 2020 class is ranked No. 74 nationally and is one of the Top 10 classes amongst Group of Five institutions according to_247Sports.com.

    Not being a recruiting guru I judge by who we beat. If reading correctly I see us beating Tennessee twice. Houston several times. So Miss several times. Memphis. Virginia. And of course the puppies up north whose time has passed. The golden era of Cajun Football is upon us. I hope the community will take notice

    Whenever you see a program like Virginia recruiting in the state, it's because they have someone on the staff with contacts or a past history in Louisiana.

    Because it is fertile recruiting ground. I’m sure someone on their staff is from the area as well. Possibly a “pipeline”. When you think of High School Football the state of Virginia doesn’t necessarily come to mind.
