Both teams shot the free throw EXTREMELY well. I dont ever remember a game at ANY level including NBA where BOTH teams shoot 95% from the FT line

#12 Kane Brown and #25 both shot free throws very well down the stretch. Although I still think me, RC8 and my boi Batt Marnes could dunk on his (#25) weak az(z)... oh and welcome to the Cajundome uglier Mike Wilbon. I got plenty of more shizz to say so get used to it.

😂 now that you say that, Lanier is Wilbon. That’s hilarious

I had turned to my wife during the last timeout and told her No. 13 will get the ball and try to get to rim. For once one of my predictions came through. That guy is obviously the key to whatever success we have had and will have. However the tide turned when Cedric Russell started driving to the goal and getting fouled. He was mentally tough enough to knock them all down. Those drives helped get him open on the last two big threes. Georgia State coach took the air out of the ball too early and stayed in that mode too long. Also, he had success in zone and did not stay in it long enough in my view. We did start to find the open spots in it and some of the drives Cedric had were against zone. Maybe that is why he got out of it too early. Still, this one sure has a sweet taste tonight. Really pleased for all in the program that they get to celebrate this one, especially considering the opponent and what they have gone through this season. Kudos to them for not giving up after being down double figures midway through second half. It would have been easy to throw in towel but they kept battling. For those counting, Coach owes 700 to cancer fund and I owe a little as well. Happy to do it considering the circumstances.
I liked what you said with the exception of TxSt. Regardless of how they’re doing in this dog league, they’re not much. They should be looking for a good young coach as well as us needing to desperately. Of course it’s none of my business or concerns what happens between San Antonio and Austin.

In the meantime the clock is ticking forward on our two decade MBB nightmares.

Can't we enjoy the moment? Everyone except for a few of our own see UL this year as easy pickings due to injuries. GAST would probably beat us 9 times of of 10. But we got the win last night.

Doesn't mean we will win Saturday night, but we're getting glimpses of the future. In Maggard I trust.

    Great win last night.

    BUT:
Hard for me to be excited about 5-8 in conference and 10-14 overall. Whatever the reasons.. bottom 5 is not where I want to be in conference.

I did not say Texas State is doing anything to get national recognition. I said doing well in this league. They scored over 100 last night for first time in Kasper era against a D1 school. We may have stayed in that game longer and had a chance at end if Smith does not hurt an ankle

None of us want to be there and coaches and players especially disappointed. Can’t look back now at past troubles. Need to focus on finishing season strong. Good to see they did not give up last night or on season. Free throw shooting last night tells me they are still working hard. 19 of 20 does not happen without preparation. As someone said, let’s enjoy last night at least for today.

This!! With as bad as the season started, we are 3 games back from being tied for 2nd. With 4 of the last 7 games coming against the bottom of the sunbelt and us starting to get a little more healthy, we have a chance to finish in the top half of the sunbelt. I know this won't please some but at least the team hasn't given up. I also so Trajan on the bench last night. I wonder how far he is from returning.
