He's gone from Bobby Big Fish to Bobby Big Fitz....

Just pointing out that Gonzaga (WCC), Dayton (A10), SDSU (MWC) and Houston (AAC) are all in the top 25. I know some are going to say that they are different programs and should be considered major programs. But they just prove that you can win big as a Mid-Major.

    Not with this staff though.

Outside of Gonzaga, none of those teams should be considered majors. You are right though, there is no reason we can't win as a mid major. I have seen on this site that people say that CBB is controlled by P5 schools and dominated at the top but I think the mid major has been playing a big role in the landscape for a while now.

SDSU, a mid major, has not played a ranked team all year, while the rest of the MWC conference went 0-21 against ranked opposition. As a mid major, we all know what that means...better win the conference tournament.

Are you saying SDSU won’t get in if they don’t win their conference tournament?

Exactly....a top 10 mid major, it can be fine people. ZoomZoom is just trying to discredit them. SDSU will end up as a 2 seed.

Smh can’t believe you actually buy into that philosophy.

Sorry Mr. Shift, err C4L attempted to speak for me.

Not saying they won't, but it's best they do win their tournamet. Here's how last year's "mid majors" fared with "at large". The window of opportunity is very slim. All depends who gets upset in their tournaments at the power conference level.

Atlantic 10: 2 (VCU, SAINT LOUIS)
Mountain West: 2 (Nevada, UTAH STATE)
    OVC: 2 (Belmont, MURRAY STATE)
    WCC: 2 (Gonzaga, SAINT MARY'S)

I don't like this, but last year, here are our "peers":

    America East: 1 (VERMONT)
    Atlantic Sun: 1 (LIBERTY)
    Big Sky: 1 (MONTANA)
    Big South: 1 (GARDNER-WEBB)
    Big West: 1 (UC IRVINE)
    Colonial: 1 (NORTHEASTERN)
    Conference USA: 1 (OLD DOMINION)
    Horizon: 1 (NORTHERN KENTUCKY)
    Ivy: 1 (YALE)
    Metro Atlantic: 1 (IONA)
    Mid-American: 1 (BUFFALO)
    MEAC: 1 (NORTH CAROLINA CENTRAL)
    Missouri Valley: 1 (BRADLEY)
    Northeast: 1 (FAIRLEIGH DICKINSON)
    Patriot: 1 (COLGATE)
    Southern: 1 (WOFFORD)
    Southland: 1 (ABILENE CHRISTIAN)
    SWAC: 1 (PRAIRIE VIEW A&M)
    Summit: 1 (NORTH DAKOTA STATE)
    Sun Belt: 1 (GEORGIA STATE)
    WAC: 1 (NEW MEXICO STATE)

SDSU is EASILY in. Stop with that

Sorry, I have ZERO faith in the NCAA when it comes to selection Sunday.

Got to go, cold front coming thru. Good fishing weather.

Since the NCAA now goes by NET rankings it’s safe to say they are in.

    1. SDSU
    2. Gonzaga
    5. Dayton

    According to the NET rankings.
