Not a chance that’s correct
He was huge on likability.
I guess stating mid range is dead is an oversimplification. I know the NBA guys still use it but that is somewhat because of the line being further out. Maybe my point is teams don't utilize it enough, especially in college. In fact, that is one philosophical difference I have with this coaching staff. I think they use the three too much when some mid range shots are open. Jalen Johnson has a nice mid range game for the Cajuns for example. Tonight he was 8 for 17 but 0 for 5 from three. Good example of a guy who should shoot less threes and take the mid range more frequently. Some of the fouls Cedric Russell drew tonight were actually on mid range shots. I think Zephyr and I are in agreement in that the mid range shot should be utilized more.
I will always believe that the best shot is an open shot. If its an 18 footer so be it. Your chances are always higher of hitting the shot that is open. This is why analytics are unlike the mid range shot as they are overused. The Pelicans are a prime example. Gentry comes over after being an assistant for GSW and we want to go fast tempo and a 3 or inside offense. The problem is that we had and still have guys who are 30% shooters attempting 6 or 7 3's per game. I feel that a lot of coaches just employ this style blindly and do it at times at the sake of their personnel. Our team is NOT a team that can live at the 3 point line. We aren't. We don't have the best shooting team out there and we need to take our shots when we can get open looks. Honestly, this has been one of my biggest gripes with Marlin.
Umm, no. This was never an estimate. If you are going to enter this debate, come with some facts please.

Bottom line fact not in debate. People, people from every background worry way more about their own income than the future of anybody.
Must be built into our DNA. Little ape gotta go get some food on the savanna in spite of the hungry lions.
