This is the list of players that USA Softball focuses on at the beginning of the season. It is likely to radically change when the list of 25 finalists is released on April 22. It is possible that other Cajuns may be on that list.

It would surprise me if either Ellyson or Kleist was in the top 25 number, not because they aren't good enough but because they'll only get about 25-30 starts each.

By the time the next list comes out, the Cajuns will have played all of their P5 opponents. If Megan and Summer win enough of those games, they will be on the list.

I'm not sure they get ALL the starts. They will certainly pitch against the P5 teams, but I believe they want to give Kandra Lamb and Madison Garay some innings against some opponents. The results against the P5 teams should be sufficient to place them among the top 25 players.
