After listening to Austin, seeing Deggs' and the guys' presser and now reading this... I'm unreasonably fired up 2 weeks too early..

If their goal is to make it to Omaha, they should go ahead and add the NCAA postseason dates to their schedule:

Looks like softball already has the dates on their schedule:

It would be awesome to make the postseason but going to be a tall task with a brand new team. I would be happy with a winning record and righting the ship.

Calm down MAT. We all know baseball is a sport you have to be prepared to grind through a long season. How do they respond when things go bad. If you are too emotional you may have trouble focusing in a situation. Of course Deggs knows that.

I am also excited for the season, but we may need to pump the brakes a little especially in year one. I know Deggs has high goals but at the end of the day this is still a new team. Not trying to be negative at all I would love for us to be in Omaha.

I love the vision and drive. But I really look forward to seeing this team develop as the season progresses. There's no question that they can qualify for a regional. But from there, it never hurts to have a little luck on your side.

Yeah, not so sure about the Omaha thing. I'd be thrilled with a trip to regionals. Love the optimism of this team though!
