When I was a junior attending UL Dr. Authement was the professor in a math course that I took. He wanted to teach one last course before retirement.

I spoke to Dr. Authement often before/after class and during one of our conversations the topic of football came up. Right away, Dr. Authement commented that he was very excited about Gauthier being the the QB at UL.

I had barely heard about Blaine at the time but once he became the starter I realized what Dr. Authement was so excited about.
