Boosted by the return of injured guards Cedric Russell and Mylik Wilson, the UL basketball team played with a little more pep in its step Saturday night.

The extra energy was evident as the Ragin’ Cajuns rolled to an 81-60 win over UL Monroe at the Cajundome, snapping a four-game losing streak behind Jalen Johnson’s career-high 27 points, Tirus Smith’s 11 and Russell’s 10.
