There are a lot of moving, or movable parts, with the projected lineup.

1B--Talley, but Colton Frank will see some time here as well. Halley bats L, Frank R
2B--Dupuy, but Jonathan Brandon will push him if Windham is healthy. dupuy is now batting L
    SS- Duh
3B- Windham if he's healthy, Brandon if he's not. But Spears has been working here and at second. Deggs wants to find a place for his bat. All right handers
LF- Bourgeois has the inside track Bats right
    CF- Breaux Bats Left
RF- Ben Fitzgerald but Hannie is in the OF mix as well. Fitz L, Hannie R
    C-Toro bats right
DH-Hagedorn. Frank or Spears against LHP? Hagedorn is a lefty

And watch the Hoffpauir kid. He's not quite ready yet but he will help us at some point this season.

Now, there could be other guys who establish themselves this spring. We'll see.

I don’t think there are any other pieces than at catcher. Thanks for the insight.

    Talley 1
    Dupuy 2
    Cantrell SS
    Windy 3
    Toro c
    Hannie L
    Breaux c
    Fitzgerald or Gavin R

Gavin still have much difficulty throwing so he may be our DH. That’s my prediction

I was told by an umpire who was there for some of the fall games that they were teaching Dupuy to slap hit. Is that accurate?

If he slap hits like Ichiro I’m all for it.

Could not see as they were not up. But the signs were all down in the outfield.

He was learning to slap hit - from the left side. We’ll see if that comes to fruition this spring.

slap hit meaning a juiced up bunt?

I take slap hit in baseball to mean more of a 'serve the ball' to the opposite field, ala Pete Rose, Tony Gwynn, Wade Boggs and Ichiro.

Correct. Deggs wants Dupuis on the bases.
