D1 Softball Preseason Ranking

D1 softball has the Cajuns at #8. Do y'all think that is too low? Right where you thought they'd be?

How can being ranked to go the WCWS be too low?

Here's what I think. Arizona is too high at number three. Remember, their second pitcher is Alyssa Denham. I think the Cajuns are better and should be ranked ahead of Minnesota. I also think the Cajuns are better than Texas. The good thing is, they will get a chance to prove it this year. So, the Cajuns are ranked number eight. I think they could be as high as number five. JMHO.

I don’t see why 8th would be too low at this juncture. It’s been a while since we’ve finished Top 8 (trip to OKC), so I’d take that ranking as a sign of respect.

I don’t think it’s too low, I just didn’t know what other people thought. I figured we’d be top 10 just not sure where

8 is a solid position from which to move up!! Ladies take care of business, particularly OOC, and a steady rise is probable.

What is our highest ever preseason rank? I personally think #8 is a huge sign of respect for what Coach Glasco has put together this year, especially with the amount of bias towards Power 5 schools usually.

And if we win a majority of the games that we have against the top 25 it will put us in great shape
