Looks like Austin Armstrong was a GA here at UL during Billy's first year.
Welcome home Austin!
Congrats Coach Roberts!!! Thanks for all the good things you brought here. Everyone here should strive to move to a better situation in all aspects of their work life!!

-----I remember meeting with coach on an organizational meeting about some reunions----he mentioned the system and the use of analysts and how our deal would not have the money to get top notch names but very hard working younger guys that would be ready to step up when our OCs and position guys left....everybody knew the system very well and could advance to the occasion----obviously this could be tweaked to an extent------one other important aspect is the recruiting part, as this has to me a very big percentage to the position---BTW I am sure that Coach Nap has been getting a ton of calls for positions on the Cajun staff!!!
We got a steal with Roberts. He was a fairly successful Head Coach that took a coordinator job under Napier, that is rare. Usually this might happen when a HC gets fired and people realize that they are better coordinators rather than HC. That was not the case with Roberts, he stepped down as a HC to become coordinator. I think his end goal is to have a DC job at the highest level. He is well on his way.
I don't disagree, just thinking Baylor is not an every year team with those kind of results. You are right that Baylor had a special year, I was thinking his next step is a high end SEC job (LSU, Alabama, Texas A&M, Auburn, Florida, etc) or even other schools that are consistently up there (Oklahoma, Ohio State, etc. I would think that he would want to stay in the SEC or Texas areas because of his background.
Did he have any type of buyout?
They are going to kill it when they start recruiting the South Louisiana area. No introduction needed for Roberts and Aranda.
Les Miles has a Louisiana pipeline, but South Louisina kids would much rather play in Waco as compared to Lawrence,KS.
