You are correct. Hud is the blueprint.

Maggard will take into account our team looks like a MASH unit. Stepping back, I've never seen a basketball team beset with one injury after another like UL.

Fifty something change in average attendance isn't going to move the needle for Maggard at this juncture.

We'll renew, it's not anyone's fault the players are injured. Stretching to blaming a coach for recruiting a player who may be susceptible to injury is ludicrous. If a player is good enough, you have to go after them or someone else will. There is no magic eight ball in recruiting.

Vic is right, it's like cards. Aces in the hole twice the other night, no other players did (or said they did). After 5 hours of grinding, finished a whopping 4 dollars ahead. It happens.

Change will eventually occur but it won’t be after this season, regardless of how the year finishes due to the circumstances. That is 100 percent the case regardless of opinions stated here. Not to discourage people voicing opinions as that is the purpose of forums like this and I do believe the administration is aware of what is said here. We should all hope it is not after next season as that will mean we have had a successful year. I understand how subjective the word “successful” is in this case.

If you want to look at just the last 3 years it was all the same story. You can look at that as a curse, a few crappy hands in a row or whatever.

17-18 season was probably the best Cajun team I have seen play. Injury and Illness at the worst possible time and running into a underachieving talented team in the conference tournament and bam it was over.

18-19 season was a team with a few key pieces left that should have been in contention for the conference title but not as dominant as the year before. Losing a potential starter before the season and then one of the key pieces that couldn’t afford to be lost before conference and they end up a notch below that in 5th.

You think Maggard retains the staff if they miss the conference tournament?

Yes. Unless the three guys out now return soon and then continue to struggle.

Well hey, get used to it. Because you will have 3 guys coming off ACL injury, the excuses ain't going anywhere. It isn't ludicrous to talk about that.

Ahhh this is funny. See the trend, no development of back end of roster.

So you are saying that when we draw cards again, do not expect any better than a Jack? Well, 3 Jacks could make for a better hand.

I agree there have been some recruiting misses and some that haven’t developed as hoped. However at the mid major level there will always be more of a disparity between the back end of the roster and the front end. When you start losing multiple guys from the top 5 or 6, there is going to be a detrimental effect.

Back end of roster is getting plenty of development this year. No idea if that pays off down the line but it appears their upside is limited. Critical injured guys come back reasonably healthy. Good news is that Caldwell and Julien are ahead of schedule in rehab process.

I went down to the park near Long bridge on the Breaux Bridge highway and called out to the ghost of Sister White. I dropped a c note in the trash can and there she was. Says next year, we'll struggle most of the year. Fans really restless. Then 3 days in March lands the Cajuns as a SBC usual 16th seed in the NCAA. Marlin gets contract bonuses. Brains splattered everywhere from heads exploding.h

Kudos to those who remember Sister White.
