Holgerson asked players to sit so they could redshirt. I don’t think that is an option here as in basketball you have to play in less than 30% of regular season games to qualify for a medical redshirt (remember Marquetti was just over the threshold last year). Even though Wesley missed a couple of games with the foot injury he still played in 12 games before the concussion. Lowery and Cadwell will get to redshirt but of course those were season ending injuries known from very early on.

I'm going to focus on something positive, spenkuch didn't look bad yesterday. He flows with the offense much better than Lafayette and he doesn't look completely lost on the defensive end.

Also no matter what, these guys are playing their hearts out and competing to their maximum ability

He was the only one getting inside as well. Other than Tirus

Don’t really help much when Tirus is a foul machine. He rarely plays over 15 minutes a game and when he actually does we fare much better.

I agree on Spenkuch. That is the best he has looked against formidable competition. I thought it was very telling that with Dou out and Smith in foul trouble as always Lafayette still only played 5 minutes.

If you can't get on the court this season, its time to move on.

Did we play last night? Against who? Did we win? I doubt it but it is worth asking.

I’m thinking they put Christian Lafayette on first

    LOL

Being at the game last night, this whole thing is just sad overall. The guys playing now are playing hard and are still trying. Unfortunately, they're just not good enough at the moment. We are playing with the 2nd string team.

But the main kicker is that outside of a few diehards, the fans aren't showing up. A lot of them have tuned out and written basketball off. The other night I saw fans on social media talking about how it's "now baseball season" after the national championship was over. We are in the heart of conference play, and people aren't even acknowledging it. That's where I think we are in dangerous territory. But like basinbear stated, regardless of that, I will still be there to support the players because they deserve our support.
