Agreed. The day we have a coach leave for a P5 conference is the best day (so far) in program history. Shows we have turned a corner in perception and results. And we have the people in place to have high confidence that we’ll get a quality backfill and not skip a beat.

Hugh Freeze and Seth Littrell seem to be early favorites in Baylor.

Wait Seth Littrell, the same Littrell that has a 27-25 overall record in coaching at UNT. The same guy who has been a HC for 4 season and has 2 winning seasons. Including this year 4-8 at UNT. The same guy who is 0-3 in bowl games (Yes, they went to a bowl game 5-7 in 2016. Why would Baylor want him?

Also Littrell I just noticed is getting paid 1.7 million at UNT. He does have ties to the area as he played at OU and grew up in Muskogee, OK.

In looking at the articles and message boards for top choices at Baylor, Napier only comes up on really long lists of 10-12 candidates. They seem to put a very big emphasis on Texas recruiting history. My money is on Heupel from UCF, OU QB and assistant, ties to Baylor’s AD, and has been crushing it at UCF. If option 1 or 2 at Baylor falls through, Nap could become the man but I don’t think he is their number one yet. Moo St needs to hire a damn coach not named Napier soon as well.

Sonny Dykes at SMU will probably be Baylor's number one target.

Just left Lafayette for Houston. The plane had made trips to Waco in the past few days.

Anyone have eyes on Napier? Might he still be in mobile??

Should Moo State be on Brent Pry alert? Kept us busy until Napier arrived,

Looks like Baylor may promote from within.

Just saw from kwtx.com that an inside candidate and billy Napier are the lead candidates

I see that as well, but for a news organization they need to get their facts straight. It says in the article that we beat Ohio University in the Lending Tree Bowl, not Miami of Ohio.
