Skirting around the answer is worrisome but I’m just gonna take him at his word until I get a reason not to.
Been saying, he's a different cat. Gonna do things his way.
He said it’s like getting your people together and buying an old airplane. Then you fix it up over the years to get it to where you want it to be. Once it’s at the level of your likeness you kinda wanna fly that plane around yourself. I think he will stay one more year and he’s gone.

Money is not everything to everyone, if his wife and kids love it here and you have great job security, and you are king of the city, that means a lot to some people. I do believe he will be gone in the next 2 years, but hopefully by then we will have made a splash nationally.
If Napier believes in “the process” then he knows him ascending to top level success is a process. I think he would tell you he is still learning his craft. Look no further than the guy MSU just fired, he probably could have used some more time to learn in the HC position.
No way Napier can state in that interview he will 100% be the coach of the cajuns next year. Still too many moving parts to shake out (Baylor? Oklahoma?), but you've got to be confident based on the reports and his interview that Ms State is not where he'll be coaching next year. Very impressed we were able to hold off a SEC program, and very impressed in Napier's self confidence to hold out for better opportunities, knowing nothing is guaranteed. Geaux Cajuns.
