I'm betting its someone from Ole Miss but yeah these guys have gotten played big time. Question is will they eventually reveal their true identity?

So we have a few scholarships to award! We’re playing in the last game before national championship, how to increase program profile place a bunch of false rumors. Wow what’s this G5 coach passing on a P5 program, things must be great down there in Cajun country.

This whole Bert Stare troll has been the best thing I've seen in a chat room ever. I've no idea who he is, but the whole thing was genius. The hook was set when on Monday he called Moorhead's firing for the next day. When he was right on that, every word he said was gold for State fans: that he knew of information on the Louisiana side of things, that he was not an agent but worked in a profession where he dealt with sports agents, that the Napier deal was done, book it, and that anything else you heard out there was a smoke screen and disinformation (that last one gave the scam real legs). State fans pretty much swallowed it whole, even as more and more sports reporters were saying the Napier/State deal was not going to happen. I think he overstepped when he posted the MLS listing for a house in Starkville suggesting it was the one the Napiers were looking at. After that there were serious doubters.

But it was a week long scam that has State fans on that board drinking the Kool-aid. Brilliant.

Question for anyone who follows these things... Is Hud really in contention for the MS St job? I know he has connections, but his record as a Div 1 HC is not exactly stellar, plus the discipline, locker room, and recruting history would seem to be serious drawbacks. I have absolutely nothing against the guy, just don't understand if the speculation has a basis.

Hud has connections there, but apparently “those without sin, cast the first stone” doesn’t apply to some of the squeaky clean crowd in Starkville. Hud is a good coach who wants to be there.

I honestly think he is their best option for those two reasons. It doesn’t seem like there are many qualified people who want to be there, much less be there long-term. Plus, he would be super motivated to prove himself.
