There is a pretty good feeling around several sources that a deal is near completion with Billy Napier.

Hearing somewhere in the neighborhood of a $3.8 million, 4 year deal.

Not official, but barring any unforeseen changes, Napier is the 33rd head coach of Mississippi State.

Napier, turned it down, other coaches that still want the job publicly i feel will get the job. If Napier waits another year or so and wins a Belt Championship or so, and goes to a January 1st Bowl and wins, he gets a much better offer at a better Football University with deeper pockets!

Coach Napier only speaks with the media after practice one day, and that is on Wednesdays. Nothing has changed for the bowl game.
