That team made the NCAA tournament as a an independent. Yes I wish we had players like those guys again.

Decent dunk, but we lost the game. I didn't think I remembered us winning a game in the 1983 NCAA tournament, but I kept waiting for a run to come back and win the game at the end.

O M G!!! I made the trip to that game with the Basketball Band and Cheerleaders... ON A BUS from New Orleans. What really sucked was, after the CAJUNS lost that game, we left the very next morning to go all the way back!!! 😝

Much different time. I'm sure Rutgers wish they had some of those players as well. Amazing to watch how compressed that Rutgers zone was. It was extremely easy to get shots at the elbow. One of the most athletic teams the Cajuns had, but definitely not a good shooting team.
