My question is, how does a player like HER end up at a JUCO??

Because she probably never played travel ball.

Maybe grades, maybe she developed later on with good coaching? Could be a number of reasons. I hope her numbers transfers over with a step up in competition. I have full trust that Glasco will have her on the correct path.

That is what i said she will play her 2020 season in Florida and her 2021 and 2022 in Louisiana.

So the confusion is what signing class is she part of.

If she is part of the 2020 signing class then she will be eligible to play in the 2021 season.

If she is part of the 2021 class, then she isn't eligible to play until the 2022 season.

No confusion Rainman; she is part of the 2021 SEASON recruiting class,

    Merry Christmas to all!

Ah, the confusion on my end is I read the ESPN 1420 link and NOT the UL link. The ESPN1420 link lists her as being added to the 2021 roster, but also as a member of the 2021 signing class ... those two are mutually exclusive.

The UL announcement has her part of the 2021 roster and 2021 recruiting class, those are NOT mutually exclusive.

Anyone who signed an LOI this past November and December is, according to the NCAA, part of the 2020 signing class. No one could sign a LOI right now to be part of the 2021 signing class.

She has been added to the recruitment list and hasn’t officially signed anything

Now I'm REALLY confused. From the athletic website.

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball head coach Gerry Glasco announced on Friday the signing of Sao Paulo, Brazil native Rebeca Laudino, adding to the program's recruiting class for the 2021 season.

    What exactly did she sign?

This may help out. NJCAA (National Junior College Athletic Association) has different signing rules from the NCAA - I Googled the following:

    https://njcaa.org › eligibility › faq
A student is allowed to sign a Letter of Intent with both a NJCAA and a NCAA college without sanction. ... If a student does sign with two NJCAA colleges, that student will become immediately ineligible to compete in NJCAA competition for the next academic year in any sport.
