Nothing wrong with that at all. It takes a good man to realize it takes all facets to be complete.

Wasn't Kyle the kicker in 2018? Our 2018 kicker was an Oklahoma transfer and I thought it was Kyle.

Should see playing time this year kid is a freak with his size and athleticism
After spending countless years on this board I have heard many players described as raw, athletic freaks or “needs a year in the weight room”. This usually means they are not good football players and are unlikely to contribute in a meaningful way for many years.

Correct. On staff last season as a grad assistant.

Understand this view. This mAy be an exception however as Cobb was one of the 2019 class guys the staff was most excited about last year.

Max Mitchell was pretty raw coming out of high school seemed to have worked out well . However Cobb is not raw he was just blew up between High school football and summer camp. If you follow the football team on social media he was scout team player of the week most of the season

I would say he was an overlooked player on the recruiting trail. You don’t play OL as a true freshman if you are raw. He beat out several upper classman and has proven he is a football player, not a project. As for Cobb, he should have no problem carving out playing time on a defense starving for playmakers. As I have said repeatedly, good football players do not sit the bench at UL.

That may be true for the pre Napier UL, but maybe not for the current team under Naps. Clearly there could be positions that an underclassmen is the stud and the senior is very competent. That’s a case where a freshman might red shirt who might be excellent.

This. the past situations should not be considered when assessing the current situation under coach Napier. im sure coach has a lot of things that determine if/when a player plays, and talent may not be top of the list.
